Meet the VitalGuide Team

The credentialed experts behind every review, recommendation, and article

VitalGuide is a health and supplement resource built on a simple premise: every claim we publish has to earn its place. That means primary research, named credentials, and transparency about what the evidence actually shows — including when it’s weak or mixed. Our editorial team is small and intentional. We’d rather have one expert who knows supplement science deeply than ten generalists who summarize other summaries.

Our Editorial Process

Every VitalGuide article follows the same evidence-based review process before publication:

1. Primary research review

We start with PubMed, Google Scholar, and Cochrane for systematic reviews and randomized controlled trials. We do not base claims on review articles, influencer content, or brand white papers.

2. Dose accuracy check

Supplement recommendations reference the doses actually studied in clinical trials — not label doses optimized for manufacturing costs.

3. Form specificity

Where form matters (magnesium glycinate vs. oxide, D3 vs. D2, methylfolate vs. folic acid), we specify the clinically relevant form and explain why.

4. Safety and contraindications

We disclose known contraindications, drug interactions, and population-specific risks. We do not minimize safety concerns to make a product easier to recommend.

5. Affiliate independence

Product selections are based on formulation quality and clinical evidence. Commission rates do not influence rankings. We disclose all affiliate relationships on every article.

Disclosure & Affiliate Policy

VitalGuide earns revenue through affiliate commissions when readers purchase products through our links (primarily Amazon Associates). This revenue funds our research and editorial operations. Our affiliate relationships do not influence product rankings or editorial assessments.

Products are ranked based on formulation quality, clinical evidence supporting ingredients, manufacturing transparency and certifications (NSF, USP, Informed Sport), and value relative to quality. See our How We Review and Affiliate Disclosure pages for full details.
