Every product on VitalGuide goes through a structured evaluation process. We prioritize evidence over hype — our goal is to surface the products most likely to make a real difference for real people, not the ones with the biggest marketing budgets.

What We Evaluate

1. Ingredient Quality & Formulation (Supplements)

For supplements, we assess:

• Active ingredient dosages versus research-backed effective doses
• Form of ingredients (e.g., magnesium glycinate vs. magnesium oxide)
• Third-party testing certifications (USP, NSF, Informed Sport)
• Presence of unnecessary fillers, allergens, or proprietary blends

2. User Reviews & Real-World Feedback

We analyze thousands of verified Amazon reviews to surface patterns in real-world usage — separating genuine feedback from marketing noise. We look at:

• Overall rating distribution (not just the average)
• Common complaints and praise across verified purchasers
• Long-term use feedback versus initial impressions

3. Value for Money

We calculate cost per serving / cost per use and compare it to similar products in the category. A higher-priced product may still be the best value if the ingredient quality justifies it.

4. Brand Transparency

We favor brands that clearly disclose:

• Full ingredient labels with no proprietary blends for key actives
• Manufacturing location and certifications
• Clear return and satisfaction policies

5. Scientific Evidence

For health claims, we reference peer-reviewed research from PubMed and other credible sources. We note when claims are well-supported by science, emerging, or lacking strong evidence.

What We Don't Do

• We do not accept paid placements or "sponsored" rankings
• We do not change reviews based on affiliate commission rates
• We do not accept free products from manufacturers in exchange for favorable coverage
